The WJ axle is wider as are the all of the mounts. Swap the knuckles and brakes over to your D30 axle. You will need to replace the ball joints as the WJ upper ball joints are different than the TJ, but the lowers are the same. Also you will need to buy a pair 1/4" thick unit bearing spacers...

That bad head design found its way to my WJ. They crack between number 3 and 4. When this happens you will start to loose coolant.

With some coils, whenever they cool down they'll work again until they get hot. It's worth a try.

The holes are for the duct tubes. One goes to the defrost vent and the other is for the floor vents. I had bought some for my 75 CJ at 4wd Hardware.. You may have to use newer model year tubes and alter them to work.

With gauges going out like that, did you check all of the grounds and the fuel pump relay. Check the obvious stuff first unless you have already done that.
