Got the part at Rock Auto. Part #201-1266. Temp. range is 203-185 and 215-188. The thread diameter is 22mm. You will need an in line tube made to except the temp switch. Take a look at my pics on the threads above. If you need parts I can help just pm me.

I had a friend that did the exact same swap and had the same problem as you do. The problem was indeed the flywheel. The spacing for the inductive pickup was indexed differently. He put his oem flywheel in, problem solved. Your issues maybe different, but this is a start..

One thing I had done was install 4 hole fuel injectors. Stock injectors are only single hole. When the upgrade was complete I did notice better fuel mileage and throttle response.

Either a bad sending unit or a bad ground..

There is a distinct possibility that you may have a bad u-joint on the front axle shaft.

Put your new plugs in and go out and run it like you normally do. Pull the plugs and take a look at them. They all should be a light tan color. If one or two are white and blistered looking you may have a lean condition. Not sure what carb your running, check for any leaks around the base gasket...

Your also going to need a 36mm socket to remove the axle nut..

I have for sale 2 pair of front or rear lower control arms that were removed from my 2001 Jeep TJ. They are in good shape. They are not bent or twisted. I am asking $80 for both pair, but I can break them down in pairs. I will ship but that will be an extra cost..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Fords had two different size flywheels. The size of the flywheel will determine the size ( diameter )of the starter gear. So for example. if you have the smaller diameter flywheel you would need a starter that has a larger pinion gear to take up the space so...

Did you check the ball joints?

The smell of gas could mean an issue with the charcoal canister or a bad gas cap. Like JPNinPA said, get the codes and post them.

I have used the Chilton manuals in the past with good results with their schematics. That was for my old CJ-5 that I had. You could also go to your local library to see if they could help you out.
