    2.5 oil pressure?

Yes the screen is in the oil pan. As far as oil pressure goes 10 psi for every 1000 rpm is a good range to be in.

    Front drive shaft vs Exhaust

Did you try to move the exhaust by hand to see if it was loose? If your transfer case mount was loose you may want to check your engine mounts also. Inspect all the fasteners and see if there's any play in the driveshaft.

    Electrical Nightmare!!!

Check that your distributor and coil have power when the key is on. It might have spark while your cranking it but looses power when you release the key

    Cj5 shackle question

The sizes you are referring to are the amount of lift they provide. I don't recommend longer shackles because of the relatively narrow front springs found on cj's. They have a tendency to cause the axle to move side to side as you steer. I do recommend a good set of heavy duty grease able...

    Cj5 shackle question

The general rule of shackles is 2" longer equals one inch of lift. As for the dropped pitman arm, 4" lift and higher a dropped pitman is recommended.

    1980 CJ7 Engine & Transmission Q's (New Jeep Owner)

I'll throw in my two cents also. It all depends on how you plan to use your jeep. Daily driver, trail rig or both. When building an engine there are a lot of things to consider. You can't just throw a nice big carb. and intake on an otherwise stock motor. The engine will only flow as much air...

    1980 CJ7 Engine & Transmission Q's (New Jeep Owner)

Swapping over from the narrow track axles to the wide tracks is no problem, they bolt right in. I have a 76 cj7. I swapped the front narrow track 30 to a wide 30 from an 83 scrambler and changed the amc 20 to a Dana 44 from a 86 cj7.

What did you do to your Jeep today?

Got my 44 axle in, took awhile cause I welded in new perches. All that's left is to install the brakes and some gear oil and old faithful is back on the road.

What did you do to your Jeep today?

This is the second amc 20 to die on me. The first snapped at shaft right at the flange. The second is killing the bearings and seals within a couple of months after replacing them. (bent tubes) Some folks have good luck with there 20's. I'm not one of them. Lol

    Need help!

Good thing it's the bolt on kit. Shouldn't be to hard to move the hangers back. Be sure to check that your driveshaft isn't stretched or bottomed out. I have a reversal kit on my cj, and it made the ride way smoother.

    Need help!

Was it that way before you put on the lift? If not, the lift springs maybe longer than the old ones. In the photo I see a couple of holes next to the shackle hanger. Is it possible to move the hanger to the rear?
