What do you do for a living?

I program & test siren systems(tornado, tsunami etc.) We send systems all around the world for all kinds of different warnings. Even program bugle calls for military bases.

    Regrets!

You might try stopping by the dealership & asking around to see if the guy still works there....if so he may have some info,if not someone may know where you can find him etc. Keep in mind that's a few years ago & you're talking about a now 32yr old vehicle.........the Jeep may be(dare I say)...

    trailer hitch..

The max towing capacity for a TJ I believe is 2000 lbs. I think it will be on the sticker in your door jam. I don't know what size boat or ATV trailer your planning on pulling, but it's best to know the weight of whatever your pulling & make sure it's less than your capacity.

    Name of Jeep Part

    1. I don't think that the CJ5 emblem was ever placed there from the factory...not sure...they put them in a few places(lower right on the grille, right rear next to tailgate) but I've never seen one like yoir picture. 2. The area you are asking about is part of the front right fender(the seperate...

    70s CJ5 seat brackets

I think it would be easier to fab entire seat brackets from scratch. The trans tunnel is different & the floor under the seats is different. The brackets for the later models have leg lengths to fit the floor shape(all 4 legs for each seat are different lenghts).

    Ordered my boatsides!!!

Most bedliner products are used over factory paint after scuffing....the best bet is to check the product instructions & follow suit. I've had great luck with Herculiner. You may want to check out a professional bedliner ala Rhino...Line-X or the like. For relatively small parts they may be able...

    Replacing CJ Ignition Switch

Are you replacing the key "switch"(tumbler assbly) or the actual ignition switch?? The switch is near the bottom of the column & can be removed fairly easily & then taken to the parts store to verify the one you're buying is correct. Just a thought....

    Does anyone know these wheels?

The word is they'll crack if in the "rough stuff". if you hit a rock at speed a steel wheel will dent/bend & can be pounded back out ,but an aluminum wheel will crack. That said I've always loved the aluminum slots on CJs. I had them on my old "58 CJ5 thanks to a PO.

    75 cj5

Man why did/do so many Jeep owners slaughter their dash boards???? wish I had a dime for every one that I've owned/seen that some PO cut a speaker/radio hole in. The only new replacements I've seen are for newer CJS('76-'85) or with no holes. I think I might try patching that one as greg92jeepxj...
