    Snow Fire

Sounds/looks like a great idea! I agree it would be a great emergency/survival product. Good thing to carry when hiking/skiing ect. The waterproof aspect would make it great to carry while backwoods canoeing or kayaking. If the material is safe for public use I think you are on to something...

    CJ carburetor

Not sure what Holley was on the old Doges, but a Holley 350 would be a good choice too.

Dogone it...I knew you would ask that. It's a 32/34 with electric choke.

    CJ carburetor

1)I'm generally happy with my Webber, but it does have some choke issues....I plan on going to a manual choke. 2)The Motorcraft MC2100 is VERY popular on 258s...I've had them on other engines & they are very simple & an all around good choice. 3)If you don't mind spending the extra $$$ a...

    1978 cj5 AMC 304 no oil pressure

The 304 has a "splash plate" that sits behind the timing chain & gear. When the plate wears, oil pressure suffers. Not sure if that is your issue, but thought I would mention it as a possiblity. 69jeepcjs' plan of checking for oil at the rocker arms is a good idea, but I'm not sure if a worn...

What am I looking at here?

I am not interested in purchasing it either....I'm not even sure I want to look at it. This goes to greg92jeepxj's question/comments. Custom cars are an art & as with any art the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I can appreciate the work & money involved but that doesn't mean I like it...

    Any suggestions... please

As I'm sure you already know Alaska is a different world from the lower 48. There are folks out there that would want to restore your truck, but an '84 J-10 is not the most sought after for resto. I would try E-bay for getting an idea on what they're going for. I agree with you that it's "not...

    1988 wrangler

Is it possible that the timing marks are in the wrong place? Should be on the drivers side top. Just a thought. Glad to hear you have her running good.

    TJ electrical gremlins

Your issue is definetly a short to ground....the question is where. I would start with a VOM at the burnt socket. Check for continuity to ground on the hot side & trace back twds the fuse(do this with the fuse removed).

78 cj5 upper fresh air duct ???? by the newbie.

As PoliceMonkey161 said, you need the upper half of the air plenum....that's the top part in his photo(the part is upside down in the photo). The opening at the elbow will connect with the lower duct(the bottom part in his photo). Hope that helps...

Can one person move a 2 piece hardtop?

The "95 YJ that I had ,had a 2 piece hardtop with half doors. The front half was easy & quick to remove & that's how I usually left it. The Back portion of the top was still too awkward for one person to remove or install without risking scratching the Jeep. It was a piece of cake for 2 people.

    Liner Recommendations?

2nd on the Herculiner. I've done 3 different CJ floors with it & have only good things to say. The first Jeep floor I did with it still looked great after 6yrs....unfortunately the rest of the body needed to be replaced by then. Follow the can instructions especially the prep.

    77 jeep cj7 models

The golden Eagle was a trim package. it was indeed available in '77. The most notable features were a large eagle decal on the hood & gold painted "wagon stlye" wheels. Here's info from a 1978 Jeep brochure....I'm not sure what may have been different in "77. Dealers Brochure."Golden Eagle...
