    shifting problem

I agree 100% with Bounty on this one....I had a similar problem on a "95YJ with an AX15 & the MT90 worked wonders. On mine it would shift ok after warming up a little, but it was a fight to get it in gear when cold/cool. After changing to the Redline it shifted great all the time. Good luck &...

    1999 TJ electrical issues

Removed, cleaned & retightened the battery cable connections...amazing how much corrosion after just a few weeks...all is well now...I'll coat the connectors with "no ox" to keep 'em clean.

    1999 TJ electrical issues

Thanks for the response!! The bad connection was my first guess too...although on first glance/try the battery terms are tight I'm thinking maybe a bad cable. I'll pursue along those lines.

    1999 TJ electrical issues

Driving in to work this AM my volt meter suddenly pegged to 19+V. All other guages were good. Engine was running fine, lights on. My first thought was that the voltage regulator in the alternator took a dump. I figured if the alternator was putting out high voltage I might be able to draw it down...

    Brake help

Terry's questions are right on...sounds like a fluid issue. Bleeding the brakes gets the air out of the system...the only way air gets into the system is by displacing fluid. You have to find where the fluid is going(leaking) & go from there.

    AX-15 ??s

Run Redline MT90 if you want smoother shifting, it improves even cold-weather shifting. Ran this in my the "95 I had a while back & worked great. Read more: http://www.jeepz.com/forum/cj-yj-tj-jk/38072-94-ax-15-wont-go-5th-gear.html#ixzz2YrOoOO48

It really makes your day when ............

A fellow Jeeper friend of mine read it as a kid(over & over like you). He lent me his worn copy a few years ago & I loved it. I've been thinking of getting a copy for my grandson, but I didn't realize it was still in print. Good find!!

Love for the CJ5 - passion or obsession ?

Don't ever be afraid to ask a Jeeper about his/her ride. My wife calls it "Jeep stalking",but I've made many friends by stopping fellow jeepers or being stopped by same.

    Worktable upgrade

Looks good....how do you keep it so clear???? I can't get a picture of mine until I spend some time cleaning up the debris from the multitude of ongoing projects. As far as your sheet metal/diamond plate debate. I like a smooth surface. My workbench has a formica counter top...light color makes...

    Any left foot breakers here?

My buddies wife drives like that...she can not get the hang of a manual because she ride the break. At least it keeps her out of his Jeep;)
