    Uses for a Wrangler X

Great slide show Cappy. Teaching the young one how to shoot safely is one of the best things you could ever do for him. (Ya gotta get some eye protection on him though!:-)) These memories will last a lifetime. BC

Apparently, judging by my "shortest thread" thread, the TJ is "trendier"! This was composed by forum member 88Wrangles. I hope you don't mind my cut and paste 88Wrangles. VJ= Jeepster FC= Forward Control FJ= Fleetvan Jeep C= Commando CJ= Civilian Jeep DJ= Dispatcher Jeep SJ or FSJ= Full Size...

    Which jeep?

Get yourself an older CJ-5. 1970 ish. They are very easy to work on. They don't have all the computer stuff, yet they are "modern" enough to afford you decent heat for the winter months (depending on where you live.) I had a 75 CJ-5 years ago, that I enjoyed a lot. You probably already know...

That is sooooo awesome! What a great looking little guy! I am glad wife and baby are doing well. With so much crappy news out there, I am really glad that you shared this joyous news with us. Congrats big time! PS, I love the little Jeepz shirt you have him wearing! All the best, Bob C.

    Would you?

Thanks for the reply's thus far. SteelHeadz, I guess the phrase would be "custom restoration". Ol' Uncle Bill was the king of mechanical improvisation! I guess you would have to be in the Phillipines around 1943! There are definitely some "custom" configurations of hoses and wires under the...

I have been restoring a 1960 Willy's CJ-5. It is all original with 49,000 original miles on it. Bought new by my Great Uncle Bill in 1960. I have replaced the entire brake system, needle valve in the carb, wheel/axle bearings, starter, waterpump, master cylinder, ignition system (cellanoid...

YOU KNOW YOU HAVE A REAL JEEP IF...

-When you agree or have experienced 90% of the things already listed here. (Like using the ice scrapper on the inside of the windshield!) -You have more shift levers than you do tires. -You never have to worry about getting stuck because you have winch that can literally pull your jeep up a...

    Howdy from RI

Howdy folks. I have a 1960 Willy's jeep that I have been restoring. It is almost done at this point with only a few remaining things to troubleshoot. I am looking forward to sharing information with all of you, and hopefully gaining a whole lot of knowledge. See y'all on the forums. Bob C.

Howdy. New guy with a question.

Howdy folks. This is my first post here. I have been restoring a 1960 Willy's CJ-5 for the past 3 years. It I have it up and running and have replaced many parts. At this time, I do believe that I need to adjust the clutch. I have been driving it on and off since Memorial day. What is happening...
