Yj tubs ?

This will be the easiest question for most ! I feel kinda dumb to ask but what year did they switch models I have a 89 yj and the tub is bad . I found a 95 wrangler on craigslist just the tub he will swap for mud tires . I just need to know what's the latest year that will work on my 89

The YJ Wrangler started with the 1987 model year and ran through the 1996 model year. However, and there is some difference of opinion here, technically there was not a 1996 YJ Wrangler as the 1995 YJ was held over for 1996 while a new factory location in the Toledo area was tooled for the TJ Wrangler that started with the 1997 model year.

'87-'95 will work. '92 was the first year for the family style roll cage.

and if you prefer, you can swap between roll cages, all the mounting points will be the same. you will have to swap over your guage package as they are different.

take the family roll bar. i wish i had one. the kids like it better and it gives you another bar to hang those velcro cup holders on that is not angled
