Yj Flares on a CJ?

Anybody tried putting YJ front flares on a CJ7? Guy on another forum said they bolt right on, but set i'm looking at buying (also online) says he selling em because they wouldn't fit his CJ. Anybody done this? I want to add the YJ (not TJ) flares so I can get the full length flares with the step built in. I'm tired of getting gumbo all over my hands (and shotgun, and anything else I touch) when I go hunting and the door handles get covered with mud (yeah, I know I'm getting old, used to love seeing the jeep covered in it). Thanks!
