YJ BELT SQUEAL

i have an 88 yj 4.2. i just put a new alt, new battery, new serp belt on. After we start it, we get a very loud squeal that sounds like the belt. the noise seems to be loudest at the a/c compressor. well since the a/c didn't work, i grinded the clutch off of it and took out the internals so now it is just an "idle" pulley.. and the noise is still there.. any ideas what else it could be?[addsig]

take a look at all your belts and make sure they are snug, also make sure and check they are all in the proper grooves. my jeep was squealing and I just stuck my finger in the brake fluid, lubricated the belts with it, and it hasn't squeaked since.[addsig]
