i was just thinking about this, now if i do the lift myself can i do it with just straight up elbow grease or are air tools a must, i don't want it to come undone on the trail or nothin??
just wondering

you can use the old fashioned man power.. that's how i end up doing everything... and its good to have a torque wrench... sometiems you think you have everything as tight as possible, but nope... i know the Ubolts are to be torqued to 90 lb-ft... you'd be amazed at how much that really is

Can you really do a suspension lift install at home. I have some air tools, jacks, and good hand tools. Could you do this on your own? Like is it easy enough for someone to do that isn't as experienced or would recommend paying someone to do it?
Mike

it is possible to do it alone, at home... provided you have enough jack stands and jacks...

So does that mean that it is possible? I really would like to do this myself. How many is ENOUGH jacks and jack stands? Sorry to be irritating but money is minimal and I still need meats. What do you need jack stands for four spots on the chassis and jacks for the axles? Just wondering.
Mike

yes how many is enough?? and does anyone have any pics, i have never done anything like this before and will be ordering the lift soon i hope, as long as my clutch is still under warranty

i did mine by myself with 1 jack and 2 jackstands. it was not bad except for the leaf spring bushings they were a bear but i did it by myself in 2 days about 4 hours a day. so no problem i hope.by the way hopefully within two days i will have my oba set up it cost a little more than i had hopped but will be way worth it.cant wait!

2 stands, 1 jack... I would prefer 4 stands... but anything to keep the frame far enough off the ground will be sufficient... then you will need a jack to move the axle's weight off the springs when removing them.... like said, the hardest part will be getting the bolts/bushings out
