XJ Spare mounted to the roof

I've seen a spare tire holder that mounts to the roof of an XJ without having a roof rack. It looks like it is X-shaped?

Anybody know where I can find/buy one???

EABY SCAM!!!

Its the old mopar one, if I recall right. Try the dealer or ebay.

let me know what you find TC. seems like you and i have been looking at a lot of the same stuff lately. i've been interested in a tire mount for the roof or a rear swing carrier for my zj.

i've considered the safari rack that graewulf built, but i live in the city, and i'm not sure i trust it here.

by the way graewulf, how is that rack holding up for you anyways?

haha, i noticed that, at first glance i thought it was a gun case on the side of your rack there. where do you hi-lift on the zj? i did it a few weeks ago on the rear bumper when i was stuck. didnt crack the plastic or anything, worked just fine. but what about if you need to lift the front? i'm gonna get rockers for the sides eventually to eliviate this problem, but until then i was just curious.

Severasl options.. I lift from the reciever in the rear (class III).. also, I got the off-road accessory kit - has chains & hooks.. go through the holes in the bumper and hook the skid plate at the top, wraps around the bumper. It works good.. used it to get me off a tree once. I also have the Lift-mate.. hooks the rim to lift the wheel so you can shove something under it. Yes, i like my toys.. and the jack-guard (the gun case...lol) is a must if you're gonna store the hi-lift outside the vehicle.

Nice!
