xj rear upper shock mount

Header Question

busted both of the bolts holding in the driver's side upper shock mount. Other than drill&tap, is there anything else I should consider? I've heard folks relocating the shock mounts, but I think it was on the lower end for clearance.

Nothing is simple.

we relocated the mounts on BBJ... works great and it wasn't tough at all

That happened to me and i heated it up with a torch and then drilled into it with a drill bit about half the size of the bolt . When the drill bit caught it just ran the bolt out thru the top.

just drilled and tapped a rear xj mount on thursday with my friends, took about, 2 minutes? heh
