XJ BPE's on Budget Boost

I recently bought the 2" BB from Rocky Road for the XJ. BPE's (bar pin eliminators/shock extensions) were supposed to be included if you wanted to use the stock shocks. They did not come with the kit and I will have to wait 2.5 weeks for them to make them.

I might just go ahead and replace the shocks while I am at it. If I change the shocks with longer ones, I am assuming I don't need BPE's anyway. Is it as simple as buying shocks that are 2" longer than the stockers?

Their explanation:

RRO did the same thing to me, then they sent me 5 of them

I used that kit with a 3" lift so I needed new shocks anyhow. I sold the BPE's either here or on NAXJA maybe.

Personally, I'd get new shcoks and sell them. How old is the XJ? It could probably benefit from a new set anyhow.

2" longer would be good, or just order a set made for a 2" lift. I am partial to OME for an application like the one you have.

Would my local auto parts store know what would go with a 2" lift? I really don't want to F this up. Its a daily driver with only 65k. Should I compare the stock shock to new ones that are 2" longer or buy something specific? Will it make a difference?
