Wind Steer?

I had a problem with "bump steer", but got rid of that by losing the pre-suspension lift obnoxious lift shackles. The proper pitman arm helped too. The problem I experienced last Friday was I felt a marked jolt to the right when I hit the 50-60mph wind gusts on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. I'm telling you I felt like I was in a box-kite with no string! Strangely enough I haven't had any problem since. Anyone else had this experience... ...WEIRD!

Twisted,

I meant to tell you that my jeep did really well in the 50 mph winds, better than I expected but I kept her under 55. Just glad that's all over for awhile, hurricane season is on the way out. Now for the snow!

Yo man, I had a jolt to the right once. Damn near killed me and my family, but luckily I kept it under control. Turns out that it was a wheel bearing that partially locked up on me. I had to replace the wheel bearings on the passenger side.

Just something for you to check out. Not saying thats the same problem, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

Hehehehe driving a top heavy shoebox in high winds,.................

GOTTA LIKE IT!!!

Thanks for the reply, but this was really just a tounge-in-cheek post to poke fun at our superior Jeep aerodynamics. Ol' Whitey's fine. Still a box kite in a tropical storm, but fine.
