I just put 2 inch coil spacers on my 99 sahara. This is in addition to an 3" suspension lift. Now I notice vibration while in 2nd and 3rd gear under 2000 rpm. Any Ideas thanks
I'm guessing that you also installed the transfer case drop kit with the 3in lift kit. But the extra 2 inches from the coil spacers increase your driveshaft/pinion angle even more. For a 5 inch lift, you are gonna have to get a SYE and CV Driveshaft to correct the vibrations.
slip yolk eliminator, lower your transfercase. with a 3" lift you should have done at least one of the two already. with 5" if lift you'll have to get the slip yolk eliminator and a new drive shaft. Also an alignment is probably warranted.
with stock arms on that much lift, you are taking a lot of purpose out of that suspension.. much of the shock of a bump will push into your control arms rather than into the springs... that will really hurt the ride, and is REALLY bad for the bushings... plus... when the axle DOES move up, it will be moving with the swing of the arm, which with more lift, becomes more lateral rather than vertical
I ordered front and rear lower control arms. Will this correct some of the vibration cause the guy I bought them from said that my axles are off caster because of the stock lenght. I really dont want to spend another 700 on a sye and drive shaft but if I have too I will Will I damage any thing if I dont do the sye Thanks any other comments
