Valve cover hang up

I'm having valve cover clearance issues due to the increased isntalled height of my new springs. The face on the front of the 4.0 valve cover that slopes downward is interfering ever so slightly with that front most rocker arm from what I can tell. This is preventing the valve cover from seating properly. I really need this thing running THIS WEEKEND. What can I do? Is it acceptable to grind some metal off of that rocker arm? Can I cut a hole in the valve cover and plug it with something, even temporarily? I need ideas, however crazy they may be. I don't have the time to ship a high clearance valve cover. Once I get the thing to Indiana, maybe. But until then, I just need it running.

Thanks a lot guys, have a good one.

I wouldn't grind the rocker. If you don't mind appearances for now and its just a little bit, maybe you can beat the valve cover out with a hammer. Or like you said, cut it up and weld in a patch piece. Better make sure its not hitting anywhere else as your engine turns over.
