Transmission problem.....Help Help!

YSE kit and gearing ratio's

I have a 81 CJ7 4spd. The jeep is currently stuck in 2nd gear. The gear shifter itself is feeling kinda locked? Any suggestions, this just happened about an hour ago at the boat launch. I had to tow my jetski home in 2nd gear. (not far)
I was not having any issues with the trans before today. Always very smooth. What to do???

take the boot off.. and you may be able to take to top off the shift tower and see what is happening in there... if nothing there... try rolling it backwards and then letting off the clutch to try to unjar whatever is held up
