Trans swap difficulty

I found a '99 TJ Sport that had been rolled. The owner bought a new tub but it just sat. tub & drive train $750. It's a 5spd. Could I swap in the 5spd & t case into my jeep?

Are you switching over from an auto.

As long as the rolled jeep has the same engine as yours, It should have everything you need.

It's a rolled '99 & mine is an '05 if that means anything

It should bolt up. You will need the entire clutch assembly (pedal, Master, ect).

You might need a new computer for your year with a standard transmision.

Chances that the '99 computer would work in my '05 TJ... Probably not good, right?

I don't know, But i do know there diferent from an automatic and standard.

Any chance you can pull the manual computer too? Not sure if they would be a simple swap such as, plug and play.

Dont forget you will need the crank bushing for the input shaft.
