Tow Ratins

Can someone please tell me what all the numbers on the sticker on my tow hitch mean?

Here is what the sticker says.

Hitch Type Weight Distrubiting max Trailer weight 5000lbs, max tongue 750 lbs.

Hight type wt carrying max trailer weight 2000lbs, max tongue 200 lbs.

and then it says or vehicle requirements.


So I have some idea what all this means, but which requirement do I use and how do i know what my trailer weights are?

Looks like the standard disclaimer on a hitch.. what it means is 2000lb is the rating without using a weight distributing assembly. Realistically, it'll handle whatever your jeep is capable of towing.. it's a 2" reciever right? (2" inside diameter on the box tube).

Stay at or under the 2000/200 recommendation if it's within the owner's manual recommendations for towing.
