tow hook mounting

anyone know any good strong ways to mount tow hooks to the front of yj's?

AMC 20 pinion seal

On my CJ I mounted it above the frame using the bumper hole and drilling another for it. I think on the YJ the frame is straight so it should be easier. I had to put a couple washers so it was level.

did you tap the hole in the frame or did you manage to get a nut in there some way

Bolt right down to the top of the bumber where the bumper bolts are. No problem at all get the 3 hole tow hooks. tug

but what about securing the other 3 bolts in the frame

I was able to get a nut on just in front of the center brace. I did not put a bolt on the very back hole, just the 1st 2. I have seen many in the same place and I have been told it is easier on YJ's.
