I'm looking to put some nasty deep lugged tires on my 3/4 ton truck. I currently run 235-75R15 Cooper Discoverer's M/S, but find that they are lousy in deep mud. I use the truck strictly for off-road duty (horse farm, fire wood, snow plowing dirt driveway). I used to have some real aggressive M/S tires from Uniroyal & Dunlop, but they rotted and cracked. Anyone have any idea where the miliatry gets their deep lugged tires from?[addsig]

Check Ebay I have found 37" tires off of Military Hummers on there, I am not sure what wheel size they are though.[addsig]

The Hummer tires are 16.5 inch rim X 36" (Goodyear) old style. X 37" new style (various manufacturers).
What looks like it will work good and what actually works well, are often two different things. Depends on the mud, and other factors. I usually look at what everybody else has, and buy what seems to be working well.
The military, on the old Chevy 3/4 ton trucks often ran a 235X85 R 16 on there trucks. Almost a 31" tall tire.
I´ve had good service from the old style, deep lug, town and country style tires, that can often be found at the co-op and Sears. They are loud on the street, but dig pretty good in most types of mud. High speed highway driving, will make them heat crack or shed tread.[addsig]
