what should i set my timing to on an i6 258. i have the weber. my friend thought it would be a good idea to advance the timing for more power. nows its backfiring. is this hurting my poor jeep. also how far can i safely advance the timing without mileage suffering, and still run ok? thanks.[addsig]

With or without the computer? Mine moved from 9 to 13 BTC without the ECU and a Weber 32/36.

At 1600 but I do also have a juice box and did the nutter bypass.[addsig]

cant help you on the timing, but don't let it backfire! A couple of good backfires and you'll blow out the power valve in your carb! [addsig]
