how involved is it? how long am i lookin to spend on it? what needs to come out so i can get to it?

after reading a lot of past threads.... it doesn't seem too bad... after removing the housing... does that expose both the core and the blower?

The only tricky part is reinsaliint and getting it all lined up. with a buddy to help from out side and you on the inside it will be a snap. Looking at about 3 hours tops if you have all the parts lined up. Also look to do a good cleaning inside the heat exchange box cause it will be plenty dirty. I also made and glued on new air gaskets made from the linning of a soft side cooler. thin closed cell foam. Might as well do the blower up grade while you are in there cause it is well worth the 20 bucks. tug

The thing that took me the longest was finding the correct nuts in the engine bay holding the assy. in place... Oh and when putting it back in take the antenna off the outside of the jeep, if you don't it will get in the way ALOT when putting it all back in. It took me an extra 45 min. to figure it out... D'oh!

i may just delete the antenna all together... i almost picked up the blower motor today... has it been confirmed that it IS comaptable with later YJ's?... i'm sure even if it is not easy, i can do it.. i want to... i don't want to ever have to go in there again... but.. this heater core is spraying steam all over the place... but only when i turn left... sounds strange, but that's what it does

Snitty - do yourself a favor and drench the bolts on the firewall with some PB Blaster, they are very soft and will snap alot sooner than you think they will.
