I would like to know about any High Milage YJ 4.0s out there for a little reassurance. I have had mine for about a month now, I bought it with a milage at almost 190K... is that alot for a 91 YJ 4.0? If the engine ever does go, I will probably rebuild it (unless I have a spare V8) I was just wondering if I should be expecting it soon... Let's see some high miles!!! The Highest Wins![addsig]

That is one very clean Jeep very tastefully done! I too would like to go with a shackel reversal can you tell me what if any problems you came across in the install of them and what would you do different if you had it to do over. Thanks Tug[addsig]

I have had this Jeep since 1989. Originally I installed the shackel reversal setup (Before any lift) with the intent to create a smooth riding Jeep.

I didn't find any noticable benifit in ride at that time.

After the rock crawling bug hit, I went to a 3 1/2 inch soft ride spring lift and was convinced to leave the "SR" which gave me another 1-1 1/2 more height. The addition of soft springs and 33 inch tires appeared to be an acceptable ride combination.

Until riding in other Jeeps without the "SR" I hadn't noticed a difference in street/ freeway ride, but I did notice a substantial difference

(Between my "SR" Jeep and the other non "SR" ones I Rock Crawled in) when the conditions caused the springs to bottom and top out. (Offroad) It was much smoother (Less jerkey) and I am happy I didn't remove it.

Would I do ot again? Honest answer...Free parts ,Yes. Buy it again, Probably not, I would spend the money elsewhere. (I rock crawl with many others not equipped with "SR" and the Rock just fine)

The install was pretty simple. I installed it myself in my garage with basic tools, jacks and stands. I did have to grind off the original front spring, rear mounts. (A cut off saw and grinder did the job, with a little work) and drill the frame for new brackets.

The rest was bolt on.

Note: Some kits require welding. Mine didn't and I have had no problems in 243K + miles.[addsig]
