TFI Ignition Question?

I was thinking about doing the TFI upgrade and had a couple of questions for people who have already done this. First is it worth the time and does it make a difference? My second question is I have a MSD blaster 2 coil, can I use this coil for the upgrade or should I switch to the coil mentioned in the article?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Evan [addsig]

Yes, the TFI upgrade IS worth the time and money. Mine became a different vehicle immediately! I know what you've got, mine is an '89 also. The coil should be fine, I'm guessing. The only reason for a newer coil is to get higher energy, which comes from the number of wire turns in the coil. I think the one suggested has 100 to 1 ratio (secondary turns vs. primary turns). The more secondary turns you have, the more output you have. DO IT! You won't be sorry. It only takes about an hour. Good luck.[addsig]

Thanks I appreciate your reply. I'm planning on doing the switch the next time I change my oil. Thanks Evan[addsig]
