suspension squeaking

I put a suspension lift on my '88 wrangler about 3 months ago. Now, it seems to be squeaking when I hit bigger bumps. Is it alright to spray the shackles and those areas with WD-40 ? I just wasn't sure if it would hurt the bushings or anything

Have you been through any water or mud lately?

ya, last weekend was the last time that I have been in the mud/deep water. I figure that's why it is squeeking, but so you know if something like WD-40 is alright on it. I know that some lubricants are hard on things like rubber, etc.

WD-40 might be too strong for the rubber. Check the caution warning on the can. -al

Pull the bushings and coat them well with lithium grease. You can also spread the ends of the leaves and put a little grease between them, if that's where they are squeeking.

Lithium grease was what I was going to recomend. They sell some in a green spray can at AutoZone.-al

yup, grease.. it won't evaporate like wd will
