It has been a long time coming since I got my Jeep, but it has some much needed repairs coming its way. I am getting 2 new tires, rear main seal is getting fixed, valve cover gasket, all 4 shocks, header panel, headlights, driver mirror, headlight switch, and a fan shroud. All things have needed to be replaced/fixed/installed since the time I got it in February. Next step over winter is to get a nicer looking front bumper and hood, maybe get a paint job if I want to be brave and dump the money into it.

Glad to hear your makin progress. You mentioned the valve cover gasket. I bought a Cherokee in '04 and it had a remanufactured engine in it. After driving it awhile I noticed it smelled like burnt oil. I looked under the hood and saw oil had been running down the back of the block from the valve cover, I thought wow that didnt last long. Then I noticed one cover bolt was gone and all the rest were finger tight or less. I guess they didn't tighten em down when they put it on.

wow sounds like a bunch of idiots. Mine is from 200k miles, and an abusive previous owner. It sucks I can't afford to get a budget lift for it right now, but maybe if I keep it another couple years if it doesn't die one me.

look in the scratch and dent section on terra flex's site. i got some of their 2" spacers for 2 bucks a block one time.

Hang in there man, better times are comming. That thing will be there for ya if you change the oil and give it some grease every now and then.

Thursday I am doing the shocks and replacing the serpentine belt, Discount Tire ordered my tires out of Michigan and they should be here Friday, and I drop it off at school for the Automotive program to do the rear main seal and alignment. Then when it is done, I should have the rest of the parts here to put them on.

Had it diagnosed at school today, and it is leaking at the rear main seal and on the oil filter housing where it turns 90*. To have my rear main done at school it would cost about $550 and they would have to have it for about 2 months. Instead I'm gonna wait and take it to the dealership and have it done right after Christmas for $100 more in about a day, maybe 2.
