Strange Noise coming from front end

Hello all-

I've been noticing a kind of "clunking" noise as I'm coming to a stop coming from my front end. It's not very loud at all, but it's getting louder as time goes on. I thought it was a bad wheel bearing at first - i put the jeep up on stands, and pulled outward on both tires to see if either one would move at all, and they didn't. The U-Joints on both sides look good as well.
The noise seems to be only noticeable when I'm going slow, and it makes the clunking, metal noise at the same point in the tires rotation. In other words, as the tires turns it makes the noise at the same point, and is not constant.
Also, when I put the Jeep in 4Hi it makes a loud metallic whirring noise, that does not stop even after I take it out of 4Hi. The other day I put in 4Hi while driving, and the loud whirring noise started - So i put it back in 2 Wheel Drive. The sound didn't go away until I hit a bump. The Jeep jolted and the sound went away.

I recently replaced the oil in the front diff, and replaced the warped rotors and worn out brake pads.

I've also been fighting Dearth Wobble for a long time and just can't get it to go away.... The only thing I haven't replaced is the Tires and Rims...

Any Ideas?

Jack the beast up one tire at a time about 6". Using a prybar or board as a leaver, pry up on the tire. Have somebody watch the ball joints to see if they move (as apposed to the whole axle moving). This will tell you if the ball joints are bad. Check the wheel bearings in this same manner, look for up and down movement. Other than that, I would pull the front tires off one at a time and check my previous work I had done, (caliper bolts tight etc., look for rubbing, spin the rotor etc.) Next I would look at the u-joints in the front, axle and drive shaft. Of course give everything a squirt of grease while there. Good luck, Tom
