Steel Horse Sound Boxes

Hey guys,

I am just finishing up the major work on my new off roading gear on my 1999 TJ. I am now upgrading the sound system. I was looking at the Steel Horse Sound Boxes which fit 6.5" speakers. I was wondering if the the sound box works and sounds well? Is it worth the price? I would assume the speakers it comes with (Jensen) are not great. I would probably just buy the box and purchase a better 6.5" speaker. I have no sound bar and would like to install rear speakers for the balanced sounding highs.

Thanks for tips and any opinions!

jensens aer'nt that bad of speakers if you are just useing them for mids and highs they will work just fine but if you want some seriouse bass you need to buy some good 3-way speakers. crutchfield.com is an awesome place to get speakers and other audio equipment. plus they send you every thing you need to hook them uo for free.

When i bought my cd player for my truck i got it from crutchfeild they sent me the wireing harness filler plate nd complete instructions on how to hook every thing up

I prefer the tuffy lockboxes These fit standard 6"ers and it adds a place to store stuff. I'm using these with infinty speakers. But whatever you use, and I say this all the time, make sure that it's secured tightly. Use lockwashers and make sure you put something between the speaker box and the metal of the wheel well. The place that did mine, when someone else owned the Jeep, only used a strip of weather stripping. I took them off and used some thin foam like drawer or cabinet liner. [addsig]
