scratch removers?

Being pulled from a ditch on Silo road really scratched up the left side of my jeepster. I bought some "Nu Shine" scratch remover and Turtle Wax "ice" today and tried them out. I gave up on the scratch remover and tried the was, lo and behold, the wax worked better at removing scratches. The problem is I still have a good amount of scratches and was wondering if anyone has a "miracle" scratch remover. The scratches I have are in the clear coat, but are fairly big.

Thanks,
Bruce

I use "Scratch X" by Meguiars (sp?). It seems to work really well, but don't expect a miracle :).

3M makes the one that most body shops use

all it amounts to is a very fine rubbing compound that works with clear coats

after you've done all you can, follow up with some Turtle Wax colored wax.
They sell it in blue, green, red, white and a few others.
It does wonders in hiding fine scratches and swirl marks left by polishing.

If you want a pro-shine use Race Glaze. The body shop I worked for used it, and it does some amazing sh1t!

If you want cheap and dirty use Scratch Out. I used this on my XJ with instant results.

oh yeah, I've used that Scratch out to fix a skipping music CD once.;)

Well, I'm going to wait on the scratch removing. I'm going up to the DFW area next week, partially for defensive driving, and partially because there is a place called marshall creek that has a good mud pit and decent trails. I just dont like all the four wheelers and dirt bikes out there, I'm afraid one of the huligans will run into. I used to be one of those huligans and had some close calls with large vehicles...

I live in Bonham, everywhere is up in texas.

I figure that some good scratches are like battle scars. Ya gotta let others know you're willing to go as far as needed...
