Right to carry firearms in your state yet?

If the trend continues it may be soon if not now, check out this cool animated map showing the progress:

Seems like those yellow and red "may-issue" and "no-issue" states need to wake up and realize the value of permitting their citizens to protect themselves and others. One of these days, one can only hope, all states will grant their citizens ALL rights guaranteed under the Constitution of the United States of America. As the animated map depicts, the trend has grown over 20 years. It likely would not have grown if the results of a citizen's right to carry firearms weren't POSITIVE. Thanks for the history lesson, Twisted.

someone wrote to our local paper over the weekend about the Va Tech shooting and said that we should ban handgun sales.....

I had to reply and they printed my letter today

I basically said that the gun did not kill anyone, the whack-job did and as tragic as the loss of life was at this one shooting, what about the 46 people who die everyday at the hands of drunk drivers in the country. I don't see people writing letters to the editor screaming about restricting the sale of booze or automobiles to prevent twice as many deaths per day than what happened at Va Tech.

I just can't understand it.. then he ranted on about banning handguns while protecting the hunting rights... excuse me but hunting isn't in the Bill of Rights.
Owning a firearm is protected under the Constitution, hunting is a by product of that right.

liberals.......
