right rebuild

I have a 1971 J 2ooo, a 1976 J 10 and 1973 Wagoneer. All have the 360 w/ th 400. All have good and bad parts. I wonder, do I mix and match to get the best drive train combination or stick to one vehicle to rebuild. I'm looking for a road and offroad vehicle for transportation only. All responses will be greatly appreciated. thanks

There s nothing wrong trying to salvage what you can , but can be more work than its worth , weigh your options first you should find your answer
