Quadra-trac/reduction seal

I topped off the fluid in my reduction unit then proceeded to check the level on the Quadra-trac & had fluid pour out rapidly. I'm assuming the seal between the units is toast allowing fluid to drain into the tranfercase.

My question is can I run it this way with the fluid high in the Q. Trac or should I drain it to the correct level causing the reduction unit to be low?

I know I should repair the seal if indeed it is bad but I have an event I'm wanting to run in soon & I may not have time to fix it.

I posted this question in another forum & got my question answered.
There is no seal between the units and lube flows freely between them. Fluid height is checked at the transfer case.
