Well... i just found my donor engine for my stroker project on ebay for $40, its a 1979 4.2L... i'm going sometime this week to pick it up, just about 50 miles from my home. after I get it, i'll be stripping it down, cleaning the parts, and getting the crankshaft machined. As soon as I get other means of transportation for the project, I'll be ripping out the 4.0 and soon be putting back either a 4.5 or 4.6... If anyone needs a 4.2 block, cam, head, intake or exhaust manifold, just let me know... i'll have it left over

i just got a price on a total engine kit.... i'll be getting .030" overbore pistons... she'll be seeing 4.6 liters, thats 281 cubes.... the kit is about $500 with my choice of cam grind... i think i'll be saving up a few bucks to get all that now, its got all the bearings, cam, lifters, rods, valve springs, pistons, rings, all the seals, high performance oil pump, all the seals, the whole 9 yards... we're looking toward about 225 horsepower with about 320 lb-ft of torque with range of 800-5000 rpm

if i have to start selling body parts to do it... it will get done... soon i hope

its a 4.0 high output... and going to use some parts from the 4.2... so i'll be keeping the 4.0's FI[addsig]
