"Pro comp sus lift or what else?"

Let me start off with info and thanks to all for any assistance!

97 xj w/ 8.25 rear, needs to fit 31"s (full 31"s)! Next, I have read many of the posts about lifts from many sites! I know that a "full" 3 inch suspension lift will provide the clearance (including bump stop mods). It is a daily driver but it needs to be able to perform at Paragon often. So here is where a multitude of plans/dreams/ideas come into play on a low end budget 600$ give or take for the sus lift

Procomp 3" lift (with new leaf paks,es3000 shocks, track bar bracket,Lower trail arms, springs, hardware) ! Many things I have read give mixed reviews. One thing is for certain it is a rough ride at first.

RE6030 superflex/w leaf pak, ss break lines, springs, harware, disco's, swaybar disco bracket, control arm,no shocks (at bit more than pro comp)

They have been my top picks so far. RE has never failed on my yj. Pro comp parts are great also, but I have heard that it does not provide a full 3"s.

Next is finding a LSD (locker) for 8.25 rear? Auburn (springs)?Power Trac(ceneral pin)? any other takers with in the price range of 450$ give or take that are worth their weight?

If you have used any of these products or know of great deals please post your ideas/info. Thanks again!

Avoid Procomp, the ES3000's are harsh and the leaf springs are very stiff. Go with RE or Rusty's.

guages, airbag light!?!?!?

$600 budget for a lift? I paid $565 to the door for my 4.5" XJ lift. Came with everything. Hell Creek Suspensions.

im lookin at the same one.

and mike, what are you doin about skid plates?? if your buyin one or having one welded, let me know..

i dont mean to sound needy, but you mentioned you knew a tire guy, whats the deal with scoring a set?

I have the ES3000's they work fine off road, but for when your on your way to work you might want to get the coffee with a lid and a bunch of napkins, they ride like you're in the back seat of a school bus on the street.

Thanks to all! I went with the BDS system. How can you beat their deal. You break it they replace it. The kit is a complete with new leaf pack for 630.00$ That includes shocks! I would have went RE but they are a bit more and no shocks.

Joe I will be making my plates and bumpers, etc....

I want to share this site with others. The owner Arron was really cool and wasn't trying to scam me. This is where I bought my kit also a locker for under 250.00$. Yeah a locker  ! Here is the site. I'll let you know how the system fair up!

those M/Ts seem awfully cheap. i wonder how they hold up??

I don't know, I just came across the site a couple days ago. Never heard of them before that.

If you look at Cooper's website and Roadmaster's website the specs/sizes are identical, not to mention the websites are the same except for the brand name and background color.

Cooper makes tires under several brand names across the states.
