What is this and where do you get it. I have never seen it here in Alaska. We don't have Auto Zone, just Schucks, NAPA and Quality Auto parts. I use Prolong lube/penatrator. I changed out a buddies leaf springs on a Bronco II and couldn't budge the bolts with a 1/2 in breaker bar. They were stuck like welded to the inner sleeves. I soaked them with the Prolong and 15 minutes later took them off with the 3/8 in ratchet.( couldn't find the breaker bar) I was amazed at how this stuff worked. It's about 15 dollars for a large can but it's worth it. I use Prolong oil treatment and gas treatment in all my vehicles. 89 Dodge Conversion Van, 94 Dodge Dakota 318 Magnum, 98 Chevy 1500 and a 52 GMC Pickup. Tim

Check at B&J's on Northern Lights Blvd in Anchorage if they are even still there. tug

looking at the phone book there are more parts stores than what i thought. Tug we have a B & C but it's not on Northern lights I'll check there first today. Looks like and extended lunch today. Thanks guys. :D

Oh well not surprised it was right near Chilkoot Charlies and La Mex Spenard but man that was 16 years ago. They had everything Army surplus camping hardware outfitters for the bush folk type store. tug

Image Optimization Post...

I didn't have time to go look today. maybe tomorrow. I'm working 12's during this exercise we're having. It's hitting a high of about -10 everyday and they want us to run around and generate aircraft and wear a chem mask. Tug that sounds like REI now. It's in that area. I like to go in there cause they are bunny huggers and I'll tell them i need it to make my gun work right so I can go shoot something.

I made it to Schucks today and they had it. I also got the stuff to change out the rear main seal(any help there will be appreciated) the stuff to change the oil pan gasket, the trans filter and gasket and I got the 73 blazer blower motor to get more air for the heat. when I'm doing the blower motor I'm gonna pull the heater core and have it dipped and cleaned and flushed. Maybe i'll get some heat in there.

Hey Jeepguy I have two daughters living in Anchorage. 18 and 21 both went to school at west! One is a senior there this Year. What is the chances that you went there to school as well? I use to live out in Turnagain and real near Earth Quake Park. Man I wish I could get back up there for a vacation some time soon. Ever take your jeep out to the bluffs and down to the beach there? tug

I grew up in Illinois and joined the military. I got married after going to Korea and got to come up here instead of going to Egland Florida. I got my Jeep from a buddy after he wrecked it in July and haven't taken it to the beach or mud yet. It's seen snow but is begging me to go muddin. I'm looking forward to going to Clam Gulch this spring. But I have to get some things fixed this winter first. Let me know if you're going to come up. I have room if you need a place to stay and we could always go get the Jeep dirty. Or maybe just break something.

Thanks that is a great offer. Who knows maybe someday. The best thing is your getting to spend time in the Great Land and that is priceless. For all that never get to be in Alaska I am truly sorry, It is unlike anywhere else in the world. If you can go do so. tug
