Online purchase tip

Is doing a little research worth saving you some cash? It is to me.

Whenever I buy stuff online, I always google part #'s and name brands to find the best deals. Then I also google the more well known online "stores" for coupon codes. There are sites out there where you can get coupon codes for free shipping or 10%off.

Example:
I'm looking for a 2" shackle reversal by Full Traction for my YJ. Googling the part# found me this site, which had the best combination of price and shipping cost:
http://www.stylinconcepts.com/part....familyid/1763/subcategoryid/200/categoryid/30

Then I googled stylinconcepts coupons which led me to:
http://www.gogoshopper.com/StylinConcepts-coupons.html
When I clicked "Show all 3 coupons", I found that entering "SHIPIT" in my checkout cart gave me free shipping, a savings of $20.95.

Before doing all that, the Cheapest I found was around $289 plus shipping which was anywhere fron $20-$30.

Now I can get the parts for $274.95 shipped. A savings of about $35.

SOmetimes 4WD hardware and Quadratec have codes out there, but I don't think either of them do right now. JC Whitney always has a 10% saving on orders over $100, which can be a deal too.

Just thought I'd throw that stuff out there for the other "thrifty" Jeepzers out there.

That is excellent info.8)

Most people, who aren't richer than 2 foot up a bull's butt, don't mind a little extra effort to same some cash.

Just about every major retailer, selling anything from Jeep toys to bath towels, has a box for a coupon code at checkout.

I always do that. I have also found that most of these places are just reselling parts from the same manufacturers, and the biggest one for my CJ parts is Omix-Ada. Some of the online stores change the part number to their own # so if you search you come up with nothing. If you go to the mfg website and get their part number, then you can search on that and find it all over. I'll gladly spend 5-10 min to save some money. I know I have saved some big cash over the years of owning my jeep by doing so. You also tend to help out the little guys too, because they are usually the ones with the better deals.
