Oil Pressure Problems

Ok this is my second XJ that the oil pressure gauge is about to go haywire on. My 95 XJ the gauge would wrap all the way around the meter. Now in my 01 XJ the gauge is starting to float also. Usually it sits about in the middle but it's been drifting lower and moves places at various times. Anyone have any idea how to fix it? I've heard it's a normal problem but I would like to fix it. Thanks.

i've replaced 2 of those stupid sensors... the oil pressure sensor is located near the oil filter, 2 wires i think. takes 5 minutes to swap out and you don't have to change the oil either.
