o2 sensors

Ok according to the Bluetooth thing my o2 sensor voltage 1 moves around no matter idling or moving. O2 sensor voltages 2 moves when I drive but at idle it stays at .08 there bout brand new and should always be moving around code came back on. Iv replaced both sensors. Intake manifold gasket. Pcv valve and groument

The rear o2 only measures cat efficiency. So it should stay steady when the cat warms up. The front 02 should always move

If you have no cat. Remove the sensor from the exhaust plug the hole and wrap it in tin foil and tie it up somewhere.

I have a cat and need it for emissions. A code keeps coming up and says its to lean and I'm trying to figure out if its my cat

Oh ok. Ya the rear one is measuring cat efficiency. If you have no vaccum leaks. Then I would start lookin for an exhaust leak as it will suck in oxygen and make it read lean.

How to I check for vacuum leaks? Is there a guage?

A vacum guage will only help if you have a starting point and know how much vaccum your engine made before the problem. You can use a squirt bottle and spray around the intake and throttle body while it's running. Check all the vaccum hoses look for cracks and ones that dont fit right If there's a vaccum leak you will hear engine pitch change. Also the infamous exhaust manifolds were always prone to cracking. Mine was and wasn't loud at all had no idea till my check engine light came on.

I examined the exhaust manifold when I replaced the gasket the other day and it looks to be sealed up. No I'm not sure on the vacuum part. Were would I hook it in to?

Vacuum is 26.6

Hmmm seems ok. I can't compare as I have a cam in mine so mine is only about 15. Pull the rear sensor out and run it with it tied out of the way clear the code and see if it comes back.

And what will I be look for? If the code comes back then what? If it doesnt? Could a map sensor be an issue as well cuz me being stupid I cleaned the map sensor and idle control valve with carb cleaner and it made the idle control valve faulty and maybe it couldb done the same to the map sensor

There should be no pressure it will be vaccum measured in hg. The map sensor should be ok. There would be a code. If the code doesn't come back I would suspect the cat cuz if it was running lean the front 02 should have a code to. I don't know why it's saying lean. Check on Top of ur manifold right where all the pipes go into the collector. It may be cracked up there you may need to use a mirror

It's only one code that is coming up and that's system to lean bank 1. I will try the o2 sensor trick
