Nv3550 stiff clutch

My 04 sport 4.0 5 speed the clutch became stiff and seemed to get worse one day I was no longer able to press it in at all solid pedal when I removed the trans the throw out bearing had locked up on the input shaft bearing retainer and snapped the pipe that the the bearing rides on off of the transmission

Are you saying that the transmissions main input shaft snapped from the throwout locking up? Or the trans bearing retainer snapped, which has like a hollow pipe that the main shaft rides in?

Sounds like the tube on the front bearing cover broke.

WOW, that would be the first time ive heard of that happening. I cant figure out how, id love to see a pic.
