I heard it got flooded pretty bad down there. Anyone near there? My company (Verizon) aasked for volunteers to do a 2 week tour down there restoring lines. I volunteered but haven't heard if I am going yet. They're only taking 5 guys from my garage. It's about 7 (8 in a bucket truck) hours away and if I go I'll be put up in some hotel. I hope I go, it's been years since I went on a storm restoration project (other than local ones). Folks are always so appreciative and kind. No matter which place I've been people always make you feel welcome.
