neoprene seats, are they comfortable and breathable????

I'll looking at buying aftermarket Corbeau Moab seats and can not decide between neoprene seats or vinyl. Does anyone have neoprene covers or seats?? Are they comfortable in hot weather? Do they breath? Are they sticky feeling?? Do they clean easily? Do they stain easily? Do you like them????????

Thanks for any help. - Frank

I don't have any neoprene seats, but I have ridden on them before.

They are not sticky per se, but very "grippy".

It's much more breathable than Vinyl or Split Grain "Protected leather". But doesn't breath as well as cloth or "Full Grain/Naked Leather" seats.

It's a great choice. You get the protection and anti-stain properties of the Vinyl or protected leather, without the sticky/sweaty properties of them.

My only objection to them is that if it's a seat cover, I haven't ever seen one that looks all that fitted.

Oh, and I used to be in furniture, hence why I have as much info on leather and cloth. Rarely ever is a needed body of knowledge. LOL.

Thanks Mingez,

I am ordering new seats from Corbeau. They are Moab seats and will be covered in spice neoprene - so they are not covers but actual factory. Thanks for the quick reply.

Now I'm sure I made the right choice (instead of vinyl).

Thanks again - Frank

I bought them from www.racing-seats-usa.com

I spent about the last two months researching seats. I have a 73 Bronco (sorry, can't we all just get along :purple: ) I am restoring. I want to put buckets in the front and rear. These seats will fit very well and Corbeau offers many models with neoprene from the factory.

You can go to www.corbeau.com to find all seats offered but they will direct you to a local dealer. The local dealer was going to charge me $160 shipping feee to order seats plus 5% sales tax. I bought off the web and they had same prices as dealer and as recomended by Corbeau website WITH FREE SHIPPING and NO TAX.

I just have never had neoprene seats or covers before and worried they would be hotter (more sticky) then vinyl in the summer (no factory air in the Bronco :x  )

So thanks for all the input and advise from this website. - Talk to (and read you) later - Frank
