Need some help!

I was doing my shackles and I got the rear driver side done, and was working on the rear pass side. I was breaking the bolt loose from the shackle and where it attaches to the frame/unibody. The blot was threaded into a type of nut that was welded onto the inside of the frame. The welds holding the nut to the inside of the frame broke. I need to get the bolt out, and I don't know how. There's not enough room for me to hold the nut and spin the bolt out of it. What I was thinking of doing was removing the mount. It's welded on, but I can't see any welds, and actally I'm not sure if its welded on or not. Any ideas of how to get the bolt out? Can I take a chisel and pry the mount off?

can you get any access to the nut from directly behind the frame channel?
Can you cut the boxed end out of it, grab the nut and replace the shackel and then re-weld it back into place?

If you can take the rear bumper down, you should be able to get into the rear frame channel, you might be able to get long wrench in there to hold the nut.
From what I have read up on this, it happens quick often.
I hope you can get your hands on a sawz all and a welder.

I feel bad for ya..i thought that stuff only happend to me.

Thanks, but we've done or tried all that.

I thought that stuff only happened to me, too!

So you've cut into the frame channel from the rear?
Can you reach the nut from there?

Crappy design, isn't it?

Like 90 said, if you can't get to it any other way, you'll have to cut an access hole to get to what's broken loose (maybe from underneath?). Then you can weld it back in place or put a nut and washer on the bolt instead (if there is sufficient space in there). You should definately weld back in any part you cut out because that's your framerail.
