need help with fuel sending unit

I am doing a major 302 ford motor conversion on a 1987 jeep wrangler yj. I am fairly new to the jeep scene. I know someone knows the answer to the question i am going to ask but on other forums i have gotten mixed answers.

The jeep i have was carbureted in its orginal form. I need to know the fuel send unit ohms so that i can buy the proper auto meter gauge. Most everyone say 0 ohms at empty and 90 ohms at full. My concern is that when i look at 1987 jeep fuel sending units, they are round, my sending unit is sqaure. Could it have been changed somewhere along the line.

I know there is a jeep head out there that knows or someone who can tell me what to get or buy to make sure that i get the right gauge. Help me please, i am close to getting this jeep going and need desperately to get the tank installed, thanks.....

I looked up sender units for that jeep ( 87 ). and I came across 5 of them. There's a few questions first.
What size tank? 15gal. or 20gal.
2.5 , or 4.0?
Fuel injected or carb?

thanks for the replies to my posting, i think i have an idea what im looking at now. my jeep was a 4.2 carb vehicle and it looks like i have a 20 gallon tank. i may go ahead and buy a new one so that i know i will have good parts.
