need help please...

Hey! I have a 2003 TJ Wrangler..mechanic says I need rear differential bearing. I can get the part at cost but apparently there is two kinds..I am getting the run around trying to find out which one fits mine. Mechanic said call dealer with vin and dealer just wanted to sell me the part but refused to answer my question...can anyone help?

Im not the best with wranglers, but I believe your jeep could have came with either a dana 35 or dana 44 rear axle, and bearings will be diff for each. You can post a pic of the axle and we should be able to tell you which it is, or look where the model # is in the pic and yours should either have a 44 or 35 stamped there.
