Need fuel pump replacement step by step!

Can't afford to take to the "stealership" :twisted: so I really need to replace it myself... :redface: any instruction help muchly appreciated.

Oopz... it's a '92 cherokee 4.0

If I remember right, it's pretty easy on yours. If you get under the Jeep you can see the fuel pump on the upper front of the tank. Remove hoses and wires, turn the ring holding the pump in the tank (may take some persuading), and pull the pump out. Reverse procedure to install new pump.

I think in 97 newer you need to drop the gas tank.

I have a '96 and had to drop my tank too.

You might consider a Chilton's (or equivalent) or a FSM...
