The U-joints keep going on my '94 YJ. I think it's because Chrysler never really fixed it. My dad thinks that if they keep breaking, it's a bad investment. She has 59k miles and paint is great as is the interior. 4.0 runs strong. 5 speed. Anyone have any idea of what she's worth? I'm thinking close to $9k, but I'd like other opinions. Thanks a lot! -Mike

Your problem could be that Chrysler is not installing your U-joints properly. I had a U-joint go out and I tried to replace it myself, it went bad dhortly there after. So I had one of the mechanics at the shop I work at replace it and now it works like a champ. It turned out that I had messed up the needle bearings that are it seems quite important to the U-joints proper function. I watched him put the new U-joint in and it's kinda a precise activity. So that would be my guess as to why it keeps breaking.

yeah don't give up yet... talk to some people around you, find out which mechanic works on Porsche's, Audi's, BMW's, etc... basically you're looking for the most expensive, anal retentive mechanic in your area, and then bring your jeep to him/her... just give it one more shot![addsig]
