I got an "OK" for somthing that I have wanted for a while but couldn't afford...

Before you go accusing me of getting "The Led Zeppelin Angel" AKA "The Swan Song Logo", I have tracked down the original painting
"Evening" (The Fall of Day) painted in 1869-70
William Rimmer b.1816-d.1879
Museum of Fine Arts, Boston:
Everett Fund And William Sturgis Bigelow Collection,
Mrs. J. M. Forbes And E. W. Hooper 81.110

It'll be in memory of my buddy who was killed on fathers day....

I go get inked tomorrow (Sun. July 30th) @ 3PM

Does anybody else have any tattoos in here... if so, can you show'em?

I have several, my left arm is the current project and is about 90% done. The second shot is kinda distorted because it is under my arm and the picture is of the tattoo in a mirror. They're based on the Volsunga Saga, so I'll move to my right arm next and finish (actually begin because of the whole reading right to left thing) the story.

I'm jealous now  I'll work my way up to my arms :D the back peice(sp?) is gonna be about a 3hr sitting... I'm trying to do it all at once

Is this one your first? They're addictive you know?

That should transfer really well for a back piece, it has a nice combination of black/grey and rust tones.

Three hours shouldn't be a problem, the first two hours are cake and the third isn't too grueling. I always run out of endorphins around 4 hours and it starts to get pretty arduous.

I had a friend fly in to get a rib panel done, he spent 5 hours one day and then another 2 hours the next to get it all finished up. He thought it hurt the first day  that is until they got started on the second day.

This is my 2nd one bit the bigger of the 2. I thought a tattoo would hurt (Before I got one) but now I can't wait to go tomorrow :D. The Mrs. and I have an agreement: I got one then she got one (and then 2 piercings, guess where ) and now it's my turn again **:dancing_with_anticipation:** I'd love to get the whole heaven and hell thing done over my back but money is tight . I wouldn't mind a 5hr sitting (I say this before I have expieranced it) but we'll see after a 3hr sitting

That's gonna be an awesome tat!! I almost got one years ago when I was still married to my first wife. No, nothing with her name in it, just a stormcloud with a bolt of lightning and a tornado. Ran out of money before I ran out of nerves.

Lightning struck for me... I just sold a small row boat for tattoo money

Good for you! Looks like it will be nice.. I have 2 now......and said I would never get another... just because I don't like too many of a girl. Anyhoo, yesterday I was thinking that I might get a Jeep crawling up outta my A** crack at the top of my cheeks....HA! My hubby just might commit me to the funny farm.. but I am really thinking about it. Not real big, but like the size of a tennis ball or so.. or little smaller. They are addictive.. I think it's the pain/pleasure thing.. or else it's just me and my wacked out mind.

That would be a nice one... would it be covered in mud?

Thats a cool one KJ... I might get a Celitc Cross later in life... dunno where though

Tats are like Jeeps, addicting! I want more, but my wife doesn't care for them. Hence, why I got the last one while I was on a mission in PI. I emailed her and told her after. That went over really well. Anyway, maybe a year or so from now, I may and try to get another one.

My wife is thinking about getting another eventually, but theres no real rush. We keep trying to come up with good ideas though. My cousin is a tattoo artist among other things http://www.timehealsallwounds.com

so we've always got a good source for input when she decides to get it done.

 Thats pretty funny, though it would be more dramatic if you had one Jeep winching another out of your crack
