Ok, I gots me a '95 YJ with a 4 banger in it. I see all this talk about getting rid of the catalytic converter or "gutting" it. I want to do this. But I need to know how to do it and what do you do when it comes time to get the emmissions checked? Also is there a header for a 4 banger? Please don't mock me and say buy only one side of a set of V8 headers.

Oh ya, I also pick up my second mod tomorrow! Ok, it's only those sport straps, but those are way cool to me.

I also got my flames put on the hood, they look pretty sweet. But those huge stickers are damn hard to put on!

Find yourself a small muffler shop ask them to cut out your converter and replace it with a piece of pipe. save your converter and next time you have to get inspected put it back on so you will pass. It is a lot of trouble but worth it in my book. I to have a four banger and I love the little devil. 22 MPG Oh yea! and I have never been stuck or bogged down due to lack of power! As for your header yes and there are choices there too. Borlan seems to be the most popular. Flames are hard to install but they do look great, I to have a flame job on my hood. Later Tug![addsig]

Ok, what does anyone know about "high-flow" catalytics? So far, no one will admit to wanting to do this type of work, getting rid of the cat.[addsig]

The reason no one seems to want to cut your cat out is because if their caught doing that and not putting one back in the EPA will fine them $10,000. But you should be able to find a shop that will do it or it's not that hard and you could do it yourself.[addsig]

I knew about the fines and figured that's why they didn't say anything. I think I'm going to have to look at doing it myself. thanks guys[addsig]
